Bike the Trail 2024
Bike the Trail 2024 is back on 25 February.
Early bird registration is now closed.
You can still register on the actual day.
Just arrive at least 45 minutes before your start time
to organise your registration with our Activation staff.
Bike the Trail is a family fun cycling event for all ages and offers an inclusive and family-friendly experience, making it a perfect day out for participants of all generations.
It is a non-competitive family cycling event on the Hutt River Trail, promoting cycling as a fun, healthy, safe means of transport and recreation.

Starting at Harcourt Park in Upper Hutt, ride a distance of 21km on the Hutt River Trail, following the flow of Te Awa Kairangi Hutt River to the Riverbank Carpark in Lower Hutt. Explore the beautiful landscapes of the Hutt River Trail while cycling with your loved ones at your own pace. When you finish at the Riverbank Carpark in Lower Hutt, chill for a bit before heading back up to Harcourt Park in Upper Hutt on our free buses.
Alternatively you can also choose to do a 12km loop and cycle from Harcourt Park, Upper Hutt to Poets' Park, Upper Hutt and back.
